RiseCreatives Hosts AR Exhibition in Dublin for Culture Night
We love hearing when people use Layar to host the first ever Augmented Reality art exhibition in their city or country, and we’re pleased to add Dublin to that list thanks to the event RiseCreatives hosted last weekend!
RiseCreatives is an Ireland-based portfolio site for designers, artists and crafts people founded by sisters Hanorah and Nina Lyons.
The group created the RiseCreatives layer to house a two-part AR exhibition displaying artwork from eight of its talented members during Dublin’s Culture Night on September 23.
Nina Lyons describes Culture Night as “a night in Ireland where Museums, galleries, churches, historic houses, artists’ studios and cultural centers open their doors late into the evening welcoming people of all ages to taste and sample their cultural delights for free.”
Sounds like a good time! And from what we hear, the exhibition went very well; one attendee even reviewed it on the RiseCreatives blog:
“I found the AR exhibition to be quite unique and different. It felt as though I could step into the illustrations and become part of them and almost touch the craft work. It opened me up to new artists and designer makers and it allowed me to read more about them.”
Job well done, RiseCreatives!
